Rongyuan Ma used to work at a game software company as a 2D graphic designer for years. Meanwhile she also hosted a column on a Chinese Manga magazine, telling stories about her cats.

To support her husband's career, Rongyuan came to United States in the year 2010. She now lives with her husband in Providence, RI, where she has been enrolled as a student of Children's Book Illustration Certificate Program at Rhode Island School of Design.

Through her artworks, Rongyuan expresses her personal style with warmth and subtlety. She is equally passionate about both conventional methods of drawing on paper and modern techniques via various media such as computer graphics.
